Finding the Best Christmas Nail Polish: Essie – Twin Sweater Set

Finding the Best Christmas Nail Polish #5!

This is one review from a series I’m doing where I’ll review at least 1-2 nail polishes (Christmas shades) every week until Christmas. If you still haven’t found the best red/green polish for the holiday season, follow me!
This time, I’ll review Essie’s Twin Sweater Set.

How can you talk about nail polishes without mentioning Essie, right? 😉 Twin Sweater Set is a clear burgundy red polish. It’s definitely darker than red, but on the lighter side of burgundy. Therefore, it looks very classy and elegant and it goes well with any outfit or style. The formula is pretty watery, so it’s very easy to apply. It’s well pigmented. A couple coats will give the full color. But if you use the product often, the formula gets thicker and harder to apply. Just like all other clear Essie polishes, it lasts a couple days pretty well. But if you want to ensure that it doesn’t chip, make sure you apply a top coat. Another thing I liked about this polish is that unlike the cheaper ones, the color doesn’t transfer to other surfaces.

If you want a red that’s more classy and closer to burgundy, this is the perfect one! =)

Color intensity: 4.4 out of 5
Ease of use: 4 out of 5
Lasting (without chipping): 4 out of 5
Removability: 4 out of 5
Overall: 4.1 out of 5
