[Review] Nars – Creamy Radiant Concealer

Today, I have a review on a creamy radiant concealer from Nars.

I bet many of you already tried it out or at least heard about this.

So many people raved about this concealer all over the internet and social media! Since I have many acne spots and hyperpigmentation, I had to try this one out to see whether it could be my lifesaver.

So, let’s talk about whether it’s worth the hype.

First, the case is pretty simple rectangular bar shaped. Since it’s rectangular, it won’t fall/slip easily like the round ones. I like how the applicator part is not too big nor too small, and it’s pretty easy to control the amount of product.IMG_5657
My skin has yellow undertone, and it’s on the boarder line between light and medium. So it always is hard for me to find the right shade for my skin. Sometime, light shade is too light for me and medium shade is too yellow for me. Since light shades were too light for me, I got the custard (medium #1). Compared to the products from drug store, it’s not too yellow.

Consistency was pretty creamy, and it actually is pretty hydrating. Generally, concealers with good/high coverage are dry. But this one actually is not drying out my skin, but still gives a medium-full coverage. Also it doesn’t cake up!

Now, let’s test the coverage. I applied it on areas with acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Then I blended it out with my ring fingers.

Do you see how much it covered only with one application? The coverage actually was quite impressive!

Lasting.. I think it really depends on your skin care routine and your base makeup. In general, it lasts pretty much all day long. On the days when I went through more moisturizing skin care routine and used moisturizing foundation/bb cream, or even on the hot days, I could tell that the lasting wasn’t that good. However, using little bit of setting powder or spray really helped!

Overall, I do love this product! This is really great at spot concealing, especially if you have dry skin. I know it’s a bit pricy, but little goes a long way, so it’ll last a while.

What’s your favorite concealer?

Did you try this for under eye area? That’s what I would need this for!
Right now I love the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. And I hear you about the challenge of finding a shade match; I have to buy light and medium to mix to get my colour.

I love the Maybelline one as well! Since I love the Maybelline one so much for undereye area, I usually use Nars one as a spot concealer.
But, it still is great for undereye as well!! However, if you are going to use it for under eye area, don’t apply much foundation/bb cream on top/underneath it. It might crease.

I love the collection lasting perfection concealer, it has good coverage and is especially good for me for highlighting my under eye as I get particularly bad under-eye circles.
