Mother’s Day Gift Ideas (Beauty items)

Hello my beautiful people~
Mother’s Day is just around the corner! For those of you who still don’t know what to get for Mother’s Day (or Parents’ Day, for those of you who are in other countries) or even for your mother’s birthday, here are some ideas from what I got for my mom for the past 3 years 🙂

Let’s start with body/skin care products:

1. Crabtree & Evelyn – Assorted hand creams
: My mom has really dry hands, so she ALWAYS carries hand creams everywhere. She really liked scents of the Crabtree & Evelyn’s hand creams.
2. Chanel – No 5. Perfume
: My mom’s favorite scent! It’s very classic and elegant!
3. Clinique – Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief
: This is a great product for all skin types. It nicely hydrates skin.
4. L’Occitane – Shea Butter Hand Cream
: This is a super duper hydrating hand cream! I recommend this for people who have dry to extremely dry skin!

Makeup Products:

  1. Clinique – Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector Broad Spectrum 40 SPF
: Light-weight, non greasy, and slightly tinted sunscreen. It blends in easily and gives a really natural look. My mom likes skin care/makeup products from Clinique because they are not scented (my mom doesn’t like using scented products on her face). If your mom doesn’t like using scented products, Clinique might be a good choice.

Lipsticks!!!
My mom is not too interested in makeup. Therefore, whenever I see any makeup product that might look good on my mom, I just purchase those and give them to my mom.
These are what I recently purchased for my mom:
1. Chanel – Rouge Coco Shine #62 Monte Carlo
2. Chanel – Rouge Coco Shine #57 Aventure
3. Nars – Lipstick in Barbarella
4. Mac – Mineralize Rich Style Surge
5. Dior – Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink

Most of these shades have a hint of coral. One of my mom’s concerns is dullness of her face as she gets old. Since most of these have a hint of coral, it naturally brightens up the face. Also, these shades are not too overwhelmingly vivid. Therefore, it goes well with any type of makeup style, any skin tone, and any occasion — from classy to casual.
These shades are great for everyday use all-year long. I personally think the Nars and Mac ones are especially great for Spring and Summer! 😀
I actually own all of those shades too! 🙂
