Dior finally released 2 NEW eyeshadow palettes for summer 2016!!!
Aren’t they gorgeous!!?
I really wanted to get both, but I wasn’t sure about the blue shades in the first palette.
So I only purchased the second palette, 596 Escapade.
I love how polka dots are their theme for summer 2016 collection!
The packaging also has polka dots on them, which adds cuteness 😀
Just like their other 5 eyeshadow palettes, it comes with 2 small tip brushes.
In the pictures, it seems like each shadow is matte, but they are actually shimmer types.
They have gorgeous micro shimmer in them which make them stunning under lights.
These shimmers are especailly gorgeous bright lights or when you take pictures of them with flash!!!
Honestly, color pay off wasn’t impressive. We all know that Dior shadows don’t have the best color payoffs, but this one…….
I think you’ll be disappointed, if you are expecting them to be about the same quality as Too Faced’s chocolate palettes or Naked palettes from Urban Decay.
As you can see in the picture below, even with primer, colors doesn’t go on as intense as it looks in the palette.
No matter how hard you try to get the best color payoff, it actually ….. disappears…. when you blend them out……
Once you blend them out, it blends out clearly (?) and leaves shimmers.
Since it goes on pretty clearly, it’s not great to create an entire eyelook only with this.
However, the shimmers thou….. They are so so so so gorgesou!!!
I LOVE using these shades as base. It instantly brightens up the entire eyelids!!!! It’s just stunning.
Despite the fact that the shimmers are extraordinarily gorgeous, the palette still is quite expensive. To be honest, I do not think that this shadow is worth $63. But if you are into cosmetics/makeup products, and willing to try out high end products, this definately is a good one. This shadow is full of stunning shades that are perfect as a base or highlight.
